Green Catering? Green Catering!

Does FLORIS Green Catering only offer salad and greens?
No of course not! The topic of green catering is important for FLORIS and definitely has nothing to do with rabbit food. Rather, it is about careful management of resources and sustainability in every respect. We have summarized the most important points for FLORIS for you here.

• Naturally and fair
• Vegetarian and vegan
• Regional production
• Sustainable recovery
• Urban farming

Organically and fairly produced, fairly traded
We use raw materials, finished foods and beverages from certified suppliers as far as possible. In addition, we primarily process fresh products and we support the local economy. And if it has to be something exotic or if, for example, coffee is a product that is not available here, we also purchase fair trade products.

Vegetarian and vegan dishes
Due to increasing demand, we offer fewer and fewer animal products, but more vegetarian and vegan dishes and dishes.

Regional instead of exotic
We prefer to process regional fresh raw materials and ingredients (fruit, vegetables, meat and fish) that we buy regionally. Only in exceptional cases do we look into the German area and are reluctant to look further afield. We get our fish, for example the “capital perch”, from the ECF farm of the malt factory in Berlin. The aquaponics method is used for breeding here.
The same applies to our drinks, which we usually buy in Berlin and Brandenburg. For many of our clients, the following also applies: Berlin tap water instead of bottled mineral water.
As a bee sponsor, we also get Berlin centrifugal honey, which we process in our own production.

Sustainable recycling of leftovers and own products
We don't know about waste, because we really do recycle everything: Wines are fermented into vinegar. Everything that can be used from the processed vegetables to make delicious vegetable broth.

We are very proud of our FLORIS garden, in which we grow our own herbs, salads and more for our kitchen. Read here about that.
