Another environmental check?

The DEHOGA environmental check award - we are particularly proud of gold

As a caterer, FLORIS is of course a member of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). Climate protection has also become a major issue for DEHOGA. With the "DEHOGA environmental check“ the association meets the need for transparent evidence of environmental and climate protection in the member companies.

Gold for FLORIS
FLORIS not only passed the environmental check in the categories of energy & climate, water, waste and food, but was awarded gold right away. This makes FLORIS the first Berlin catering company ever to receive this award. We are very pleased about this official confirmation of our environmentally conscious and sustainable actions.

The criteria for the environmental check
The award was not given to FLORIS. Rather, we were put through their paces in all areas. That included
• Our energy and water consumption
• The amount of waste and residual waste and how we deal with it
• Origin and production of the food
• Regional purchasing
In all areas, we were able to fall below the limit values or meet the requirements that are necessary for the gold award.

Once and again
The DEHOGA environmental check is not valid forever, as a company you have to submit to the vigilant gaze of the inspectors on a regular basis. That is not a bad thing, as it meets our own goals of working even more sustainably and in a more environmentally friendly way.
