Ostiones a la Parmesana - Yummy!

Ostiones with Parmesan are an invention of Italian immigrants and very popular on the coast of Chile. The mussel meat is prepared with butter, white wine and a little lemon. In the shell, which resembles a scallop shell, everything is topped with Parmesan cheese. Delicious!


Ingredients:

- 12 large oysters in their shells
- 100 g Parmesan cheese
- 100 ml white wine
- 1 clove of garlic, peeled and chopped
- salt and white pepper to taste
- 100 g butter cheese to taste
- 50 g milk cream to taste
- lemon to serve


Preparation:

Carefully open the shells, remove the oysters and wash the shells and oysters thoroughly. Place 12 mussels and 1 oyster in each in an ovenproof dish. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
In a pan, melt the butter with the garlic, add the white wine and cream. Cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan, i.e. cheese, salt and white pepper. Spread this mixture on the reserved oysters.Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese is baked over and bubbles.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges and enjoy!
