If you like Caipirinha, you'll love Pisco Sour. A refreshing drink made from Chilean grape brandy, lime and egg white. It's debatable who invented the cocktail. However, we agree that it should not be missing from any cocktail party.
Ingredients:
- 160 ml Pisco (grape brandy)
- 80 ml sugar syrup
- 2 organic egg whites (very fresh, class M)
- 120 ml lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 16 ice cubes
- 3 drops of Angostura bitters
Preparation:
Add pisco, sugar syrup, lime juice and egg white to a shaker, shake vigorously for about 10 seconds. Add ice cubes to shaker and shake vigorously again for about 10 seconds.
Pour Pisco Sour through a bar strainer into 2 glasses. Wait briefly until the egg white foam has settled on the surface.
Add 1 dash of bitters to each of the foams. Garnish with 1 strip of organic lime zest, if desired.
