DEHOGA awards FLORIS with environmental certification

FLORIS is a member of Deutscher Hotel- und Gaststättenverband e.V. (DEHOGA) and underwent the "DEHOGA Eco-Check" in the following categories: Energy / Environment, Water, Waste and Food, and took the Gold Eco-Award. This makes FLORIS the first catering company to receive this award for eco-conscious and sustainable action in Berlin.

Companies undergoing the "DEHOGA Eco-Check" must subject themselves to a critical review of their energy and water consumption, waste generation and residual waste, as well as food, such as from regional purchases. Differentiated thresholds and requirements are used in the four categories for the award levels of bronze, silver and gold. The "DEHOGA Eco-Check" is part of the DEHOGA Energy and Environment Concept, which continues the hospitality industry energy campaign launched in 2006 in conjunction with the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
