Every year the IFA trade show is a major event for FLORIS but a welcome challenge non-the less. This year FLORIS was present on a number of the more representative stands and created a refugium from the hustle and bustle. For six of the exhibitors we served more than 1000 meals every day. The mornings for the staff started with treats from our French bakery, fruit skewers and curd cheese with Chia seed. At lunchtime, our kitchen teams on sight cocked orders á la minute. In the afternoons, our selection of finger food and patisserie provided the energy needed to last until closing.
There is never enough time, that is why our internal high-tech communication was perfect for the IFA. Our service personnel sent orders via pad directly to the kitchen. Meals were served at lightning speed, efficient and greatly appreciated. Though trade show catering has little in common with glamourous banquets and breathtaking events, it is a welcome opportunity to show case FLORIS’ expertise under enormous logistic constraints. It is a challenge we gladly accept every year!
